Spicy Vegetable Manchurian Recipe
Vegetable Manchurian is a deliciously spicy and soft manchurian prepared with different veggies. This lip- smacking dish is easy to prepare and is ideal for weekend lunch or dinner. Try this simple and delicious recipe in your kitchen.
Ingredients
For The Vegetable Balls
- 3 cupsfinely chopped cabbage
- 1 1/4 cupscarrot , grated
- 1/2 cupchopped onions
- 2 tbspcornflour
- 5 tbspplain flour (maida)
- 1 tbspfinely chopped garlic (lehsun)
- 2 tspfinely chopped green chilies
- saltand to taste
- oilfor deep-frying
- 1 tbspgarlic (lehsun) , finely chopped
- 2 tspfinely chopped green chilies
- 2 tspfinely chopped ginger (adrak)
- 1 cupclear vegetable stock or water
- 1 tbspsoya sauce
- 1 tbspcornflour mix with 1 cup in a bowl of water
- 2pinches of sugar
- 2 tbspoil
- saltto taste
For The Sauce
Directions
For the vegetable balls
- In a bowl add cabbage, carrots, onions, cornflour, plain flour, garlic, green chili, salt and pepper and mix it well and shape the mixture into small balls.
- Heat a deep pan with oil and deep fry a few balls at a time in hot oil until golden brown in color and drain on absorbent paper and keep it aside.
For the sauce
- Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan and add the garlic, green chilies, and ginger and stir-fry over a high flame for a few seconds.
- Add the stock/ water, soya sauce, cornflour paste, sugar, and salt and cook for a few minutes on a low flame.
How to serve
- Just before serving, put the vegetable balls in the sauce and boil it.
- Serve it hot with fried rice.
