Delicious Mustard Egg Curry Recipe
Mustard Egg Curry is the main course dish. This delicious and authentic dish is prepared with egg, mustard, and different spices. This is one of those quick egg curries that needs very few ingredients. Let’s follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 24Whole Eggs, boiled cut into 2 or 4 pieces
- 1-1/2 tablespoonMustard seeds, + 1 teaspoon extra
- 1 teaspoonPanch Phoran Masala(five spice masala-cumin seeds, mustard seeds, onion seeds fennel seeds, and fenugreek seeds)
- 4Green Chilies
- 1/4 cupFresh coconut, grated
- 1 teaspoonTurmeric powder (Haldi)
- 200 gramsCoconut milk
- as requiredCooking oil
- Saltto taste
- a pinchSugar
- 1Onion, chopped
- a sprigCurry leaves
Directions
- In a blender add 1-1/2 tablespoon mustard seeds, green chilies, grated coconut, turmeric and a little coconut milk and blend into a smooth paste and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add 1 teaspoon mustard seeds and five spice masala and as they crackle add curry leaves and chopped onions and saute it till the onions soften.
- Add the blended masala and add 1/4 cup water and cook it on a slow flame.
- Pour coconut milk, salt, and sugar and add egg and cook it till it reaches a creamy gravy consistency.
- Switch off the flame and transfer it to a serving bowl.
- Serve this curry along with paratha for a complete meal.
