Rava Fried Prawns Recipe
Rava Fried Prawn is a popular dish of Goa. This fried dish is easy, delicious, and crispy. It is an amazing starter or side dish and requires minimal ingredients to prepared it. Let’s follow this delicious recipe.
Ingredients
- 20Prawns
For marination
- 1 tablespoonTurmeric powder (Haldi)
- 1 tablespoonRed chili powder
- 1/2 tbspSalt
For rava coating
- 1/2 cupSemolina(rava)
- 1/4 cupRice flour
- 1/4 teaspoonTurmeric powder (Haldi)
- 1/4 teaspoonRed chili powder
- a pinchSalt
- 4 tablespoonsCooking oil
Directions
- De-shell the prawns and wash IT properly and in a bowl add prawns, chili powder, salt, turmeric powder, and chili powder and rub this spices very gently on the prawns and marinate it for 30 minutes.
- In a plate add rice flour, rava, a pinch of salt, 1/4 teaspoon each of turmeric powder and chili powder and mix it well.
- Coat the prawns in the rava- rice flour mixture and ensure that it is fully coated.
- In a pan heat oil and place the rava coated prawns on the pan and shallow fry on low flame and after 10 minutes flip them to the other side.
- Fry them for 20 minutes and till they turn golden brown in color and once done switch off the flame.
- Transfer it to a serving plate and serve it hot.
Tip
- Always fry the prawns on low flame and do not cover with a lid while frying.
