Delicious Corn Kofta Curry Recipe
Corn Kofta Curry is a North Indian Delicacy and is extremely rich in flavor. This delicious kofta is cooked using corns. This dish is tasty, spicy, and yummy.Try this curry for lunch or dinner for your family members.
Ingredients
- 1 cupCorn Kernels
- 2Green Chilies
- 1 tbspCoriander seeds
- 2 bigsized Onions
- 2 or 3Tomato
- 1 tspGinger Garlic Paste
- 1 tspGaram Masala
- 1″ pieceCinnamon Stick
- 3 or 4Cloves
- 1 tspCumin Seeds
- Handfulof groundnuts
- 1/4 tspTurmeric Powder
- 1 tbspGrated Coconut
- 1 tspRed Chili Powder
- 2 tbspCorn Flour
- Saltto taste
- Oilas needed
Directions
To Prepare the Koftas:
- Peel and chop the one onion into small pieces and keep it aside and grind the corn kernels along with green chilies to a smooth paste
- Add chopped onions, salt, and corn flour to it and mix it well and divide the mixture and shape into small round balls.
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the balls till crisp and golden in color and remove from the oil and drain it on tissue paper.
To Prepare the Gravy:
- Peel and chop the another onion into small pieces and keep it aside.
- Heat one tablespoon of oil in a heavy bottomed pan and fry the coriander seeds, groundnuts, cumin seeds, cloves and cinnamon stick till they turn light brown color and add the onions and fry for 2 or 3 minutes and finally add the grated coconut and turn off the flame.
- When it cools down, add the roasted spices and grind into a paste and add the tomatoes and grind into a fine paste.
- Heat two tablespoons of oil in a pan and add the ginger garlic paste and fry for few minutes.
- Then add the blended masala, turmeric powder, salt, red chili powder, garam masala and two cups of water to it and boil it.
- Reduce the flame and cook for 5 minutes and when the oil comes out, add the deep fried koftas and chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with rice or roti.
