Yummy Dry Fruits Halwa Recipe
Dry Fruits Halwa is a classic Indian dessert that is generally prepared for festivals. This halwa is prepared with mixed dry fruits and nuts, milk, and ghee. It has a nice caramelized flavor and taste. This dessert is high in energy and also very nutritious that can be enjoyed by each and everyone in your family.This dish is perfect when you want to have some sweet dessert after your meal. Try this delicious dessert at your home this Diwali.
Ingredients
- 1 cupDates, seedless, finely chopped
- 1 cupDried Figs, dried, finely chopped
- 1/4 cupPistachios, finely chopped
- 1/4 cupCashew nuts, finely chopped
- 1/4 cupAlmonds, finely chopped
- 1/4 cupWalnuts, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoonMilk
- 2 tablespoonsGhee
Directions
- In a blender, cashew nuts, almond, and walnuts and blend to a coarse powder and keep it aside.
- In a blender, add dates, and dried figs and also add 1 tablespoon of milk and ghee and blend to a smooth paste.
- In a pan, add ghee and then add the fig and dates mixture and cook on a low flame for a min.
- Then add the almond-walnut powder and mix it nicely and cook on a low flame for 4-5 min and stir in between.
- Once done, switch off the flame and transfer this halwa in a greased thali/plate and cut into squares or diamond shape and serve it.
Notes
- If you want you can add sugar and as figs and dates have natural sweetness, so sugar is not added in this dish.

- Figs are also used for medicinal purposes as a diuretic and laxative.
- Excellent remedy for Piles, 2 or 3 dried figs soaked in hot water overnight and taken early morning works best.
