Tasty and Easy Besan Burfi Recipe
Besan Burfi is sweet like candy and has a fudge like consistency. This sweet is prepared with roasted Besan, ghee and sugar, it is then flavored with cardamom and garnished with nuts. The addition of semolina (rava) gives a nice crunchy taste to this burfi.You can prepare this dish whenever you are in a mood to have some sweet dessert. This sweet is an ideal dish for Diwali or any other festival too. Let’s follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 cupbesan(Bengal gram flour)
- 3/4 cupmelted ghee
- 5 tbspsemolina (rava / sooji)
- 3/4 cuppowdered sugar
- 1/2 tspcardamom (elaichi) powder
- 10-15almond (badam), chopped
Directions
- Step1Heat the ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add the besan and rava, mix it nicely and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes and stir continuously.
- Step2Add the sugar and cardamom powder, mix it nicely and cook on a medium flame for 5 to 6 minutes and stir continuously and switch off the flame.
- Step3Grease a 225 mm. (9”) by 125 mm. (5”) diameter rectangle tin with ghee and pour the prepared besan mixture into a greased 225 mm. (9”) by 125 mm. (5”) diameter rectangle tin and spread it evenly.
- Step4Sprinkle the chopped almond evenly over it and press it lightly and cut into 10 equal pieces by using a sharp knife.
- Step5Keep it aside for 2 hours and then store it in an airtight container and enjoy whenever you want to.
