Delicious Chicken Potato Curry Recipe
Chicken Potato Curry is a rich and spicy dish. It is all time favorite dish for non -vegetarians. It is very easy to prepare, excellent in taste and goes well with any meal. Try this delicious chicken curry recipe and relish its flavors.
Ingredients
To Marinate
- 400 gmCleaned Boneless Chicken
- 1 tspRed Chili Powder
- 1 tspCoriander Seeds Powder
- 1/2 tspTurmeric Powder
- 1/2 tspGaram Masala Powder/Chicken Masala
- 1/2 tbspGinger-Garlic Paste
- 1 tbspMustard Oil [You can use any other cooking oil too]
- 1 tbspLemon Juice
- 1 tspSalt
For Curry
- 1 LargeOnion
- 1 LargePotato
- 1 LargeTomato
- 1 tbspOil
- 1/2 tspCumin Seeds
- 1/2 tspRed Chili Powder
- saltto taste
- 2 CupsWater
Directions
- In a bowl add boneless chicken, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala/ chicken masala, ginger-garlic paste, 1 tsp mustard oil, lemon juice, and salt and mix it well and marinate for 15-20 min.
- Peel and chop the potato into bite size pieces, slice the onion, and chop the tomato and keep them aside.
- In a pressure cooker heat oil add cumin seeds and allow to splutter and add onion and saute until soft and add potato and fry for a minute.
- Add red chili, powder and mix it well and add tomato, mix it and cook for a minute.
- Add marinated chicken, salt ( add salt accordingly as it was added to the marinate)mix it well and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add water and cover the lid of the cooker and cook for 25 min and cook on low flame and allow the pressure to release, open cooker and mix it well.
- Serve this hot curry with jeera rice.
