Homemade Chaat Masala Recipe

Zingy, tangy, slightly hot Chaat Masala is the perfect seasoning. Homemade Chaat Masala is an authentic and also fresh. Any Indian snack is incomplete without a dash of chaat masala. Follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cupcumin seeds (jeera)
- 1 tbspblack peppercorns (kalimirch)
- 1/4 cupdried mango powder (amchur)
- 2 tbspblack salt (sanchal)
- 1 1/2 tbspsalt
- 1/2 tspasafoetida (hing)
Directions
- In a broad non-stick pan dry roast cumin seeds to a medium flame for 1 minute and transfer them on a plate and keep aside to cool for 2 to 3 minutes.
- In a blender add roasted cumin seeds and black peppercorns and blend to a smooth and fine powder.
- Sieve the powder using a sieve and discard the little coarse mixture left behind in the sieve.
- In a bowl add the coarse mixture, dried mango powder, black salt, salt, and asafoetida and mix it well by using your fingertips for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Pour this mixture into airtight container and store in the refrigerator or at room temperature and use whenever needed.
