Chicken Masala Pasta Recipe
Chicken Masala Pasta is a basic pasta recipe in Indian style. This is a quick to make a meal on a busy day. This pasta is a healthy and wholesome dish for the family. It is perfect weekend brunch recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 cupMacaroni pasta (you can use any type of pasta)
- 150 gramsChicken (cut into bite size pieces)
- 1Onion (finely chopped)
- 1Tomato (finely chopped)
- 1 tspGinger and garlic paste
- ½ tspRed chili powder
- ¾ tspCoriander powder
- ½ tspGaram masala powder
- ¼ tspTurmeric powder
- 2 to 3 tspTomato Ketchup (optional)
- 2 tspCoriander leaves (finely chopped)
- 1-2 tbspOil
- Saltto taste
Directions
- Step1Add water, salt, and oil in a shallow pan and allow to boil and once it starts boiling, add the pasta and cook till it becomes soft and once it is cooked drain the water from the pasta and keep it aside.
- Step2Heat oil in a kadhai and add onions and saute till the color changes and then add ginger garlic paste, tomato, all the spice powders, and salt.
- Step3Fry it nicely and add the chicken pieces and mix it well.
- Step4Add water and cover the pan with a lid and allow it cook till the chicken get soft.
- Step5Once the chicken becomes soft and when the mixture is in thick gravy-like consistency, add the boiled pasta and mix it well.
- Step6Now add tomato ketchup and coriander leaves and mix it well.
- Step7Serve it with a hot bowl of soup.
Note:
- You can use any type of pasta for this dish.
- Adjust the water quantity and spice level according to your taste.
- Vegetarians can add paneer, vegetables or soya instead of chicken.
- If you want to add the egg to this recipe; scramble it separately and add at last.
- For the healthier version use whole wheat pasta instead of regular pasta.
