Tasty Bhakarwadi Recipe

Ingredients
For The Dough
- 2/3 cupbesan (bengal gram flour)
- 1 1/2 cupsplain flour (maida)
- 1 tspchili powder
- 1/4 tspasafoetida (hing)
- saltto taste
To Be Mixed Together For The Stuffing
- 1/2 tbspcumin seeds (jeera) powder
- 1/2 tbspcoriander (dhania) powder
- 100 gmroasted poppy seeds (khus-khus)
- 200 gmgrated coconut
- 3green chilies
- 2 tspchopped ginger (adrak)
- 1/4 cupchopped coriander (dhania)
- 2 tspchili powder
- 1/2 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
- 1/4 tspasafoetida (hing)
- saltto taste

Directions
- In a bowl sieve the besan, refined flour, chili powder, asafoetida, and salt and mix it nicely.
- Knead into a stiff dough along with 2 tsp oil and use a little water and keep it aside.
- In a bowl add cumin powder, coriander powder, roasted poppy seeds, grated coconut, green chili, ginger, chopped coriander, chili powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, and salt.
- Mix it nicely and divide the stuffing into equal portions and keep it aside.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and roll out each portion into a small circle for 2" diameter.
- Place a portion of the stuffing in the dough portion and roll out like a cylinder shape and arrange all the cylinder in a plate and steam for 20 minutes.
- Cool and cut them into 2 cm round discs.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry these till they turn golden brown in color and crisp.
- Serve hot or store in an air-tight container.
