Heat oil in a non-stick pan and add black gram and saute till they turn a light brown in color and add onions to the pan and saute till soft. Chop tomato and add to the pan and saute it and add cucumber, salt and mix it well. Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, and fry it for 2-3 minutes. Add the blended peanut paste, coconut milk and mix it well and cover it with a lid and cook on medium heat for 10 minutes and switch off the flame. Transfer into a serving bowl and garnish with a fresh coriander sprig and fresh red chili and serve it hot with roti.
