Tasty Black Pepper Rice Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 cupsRice cooked
- 10-12Black peppercorns
- 2 teaspoonsCumin seeds
- 1Dried red chili broken
- 2 tablespoonsGhee
- 1 teaspoonSplit Bengal gram (chana dal)
- 1 teaspoonSplit skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal)
- 1 teaspoonMustard seeds
- 1 mediumOnion
- 10-12Curry leaves
- 1 mediumTomato
- To tasteSalt
Directions
- In a pan dry roast cumin seeds and black peppercorns and add dried chili and mix it well and switch off the flame, cool down at room temperature and grind to a coarse powder.
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add Bengal gram, black gram, and mustard seeds and saute until lightly browned.
- Roughly chop the onion and add curry leaves and onion to the pan and saute until translucent.
- Roughly chop tomato and add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and saute till tomato becomes soft.
- Add salt and mix it well and add the boiled rice and mix it well.
- Add ground powder and mix it well and cook it on a low flame till the rice gets cooked properly
- Transfer to a serving plate and serve it hot.
