Add green peas and carrot and saute on a medium flame for 1 minute. Add rice, coconut milk, cashew nuts, 1½ cup of hot water and salt, mix it well and pressure cook for 20 min. Easy Coconut Pulao Recipe

Coconut Pulao is a popular South Indian Rice Recipe. This pulao is prepared with coconut milk and different spices. This is a simple pulao which makes a comforting meal and is easy to prepare on a busy day either for lunch or dinner.  

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cupcoconut milk
  • 1 cuplong grained rice (basmati), soaked for 15 minutes and drained
  • 1 tspbutter
  • 1 tspoil
  • 1/2 cupsliced onions
  • 2 cloveslaung / lavang
  • 25 mm (1")stick cinnamon (dalchini)
  • 2cardamoms
  • 1/4 cupgreen peas
  • 1/2 cupcarrot roundels
  • 10-15lightly fried cashew nuts (kaju)
  • To tasteSalt

For The Garnish

  • 2 tbspchopped coriander (dhania)
  • 2 tbspgrated coconut
  • 2 to 3lemon wedges

Directions
