Easy Ginger Chicken Recipe
Ginger Chicken is a delightful chicken recipe which has an unforgettable flavor of ginger and the spicy taste of Indian spices. Try this recipe on a weekend and this easy side dish recipe is sure to surprise your guest.
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 tspchili powder
- 1/4 tspturmeric (haldi)
- 1/2 cupoil (tel)
- 1 tbsplemon juice
- 1 tbspgarlic (lasan) paste
- 3 tbspfresh coriander leaves chopped
- 3 mediumtomatoes, chopped
- 3 tbspyogurt, whisked
- 3 tbspginger, cut into thin strips
- 1 tspchat masala
- 1small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tspgaram masala
- 1 kgboneless chicken breast, cut into small cubes
- 1 tspcoriander powder (dhania powder)
- 1-1/2 tspsalt (namak)
- 1 tbspginger (adrak) paste
- 2-4green chilies, thinly sliced
Directions
- Heat oil in a heavy based pot on a medium flame and add onions and fry until soft or for 2 minutes.
- Add ginger and garlic and fry for 2 minutes and stir constantly and pour in a little water if the mixture sticks to the bottom of the pan
- Add chicken and fry for 5 min or until the water from chicken is evaporated and add chili powder, turmeric, salt, and coriander powder and fry for 1 minute, then add tomatoes and stir constantly and fry the mixture for 5 minutes.
- Add yogurt and fry for few more minute, stir constantly for 4 minutes and pour a little water, if necessary, to avoid the mixture from sticking to the bottom of the pan and keep frying until the oil begins to separate.
- Add lemon juice, ginger, chat masala, garam masala, coriander leave, and green chilies.
- Stir once, cover with a lid and cook for 3 minutes on low flame and serve it hot.
