Ingredients
- 1/2 cupRaw peanuts
- 1/2+1/2 teaspoonSalt or according to taste
- 1/8 teaspoonTurmeric (haldi)
- 3/4 cupTomatoes seeded cut in small cubes
- 3/4 cupCucumber cut into small cubes
- 1 tablespoonGinger finally chopped
- 1Green chili finally chopped adjust to taste
- 1/2 teaspoonRoasted cumin seed powder (bhuna jeera)
- 1/8 teaspoonRed chili powder
- 1/8 teaspoonBlack pepper
- 1/4 teaspoonSugar
- 1/2 teaspoonMango powder (amchoor)
- 1 tablespoonLemon juice
Directions
- In a sauce pan add peanuts with 2 cups of water turmeric and 1/2 teaspoon of salt and cook on a medium flame for 25 minutes or until peanuts are soft.
- Drain the water from the peanuts and keep it aside to cool at room temperature.
- In a bowl add ginger, chili, 1/2 teaspoon salt, cumin seed powder, red chili powder, black pepper, sugar, mango powder, and lemon juice and mix it nicely.
- In a bowl add peanuts, tomatoes, cucumbers, and the spice mix and toss it well.
- Serve this yummy peanut chaat.
