Delicious Tandoori Tofu Recipe
Tandoori Tofu is an Indian vegetarian recipe made with tofu and curd. It is a delicious appetizer recipe for any party. This healthy, delicious tofu recipe is heart winning and a finger licking dish.
Ingredients
- 1 cupTofu cubes
- 1Onion
- 1/2Capsicum | bell pepper
- 1 tspTandoori masala
- 1/2 tspRed chili powder
- 1/4 cupThick yogurt
- Saltto taste
- 1 tspSoya sauce
- 2 pinchesKasoori methi
- Chaat masalato sprinkle
- 1-2 tbspOil
Directions
- Press the excess water from tofu and cut them into cubes.
- Pour the yogurt into the tea strainer for 15 minutes to drain out the excess liquid and cut the onion and capsicum into cubes( you can use any color of capsicum of your choice).
- Add all the veggies of your choice and cook with some salt and water and if you want you can pressure cook them.
- In a bowl add yogurt, red chili powder, soya sauce, tandoori masala and salt and mix it well and add kasoori methi powder and if you want you can add chaat masala and mix it well.
- Add tofu cubes, onion cubes, and capsicum cubes in the yogurt mixture and mix it nicely.
- Keep this marinated tofu mixture in the refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight too and the more it gets marinated the spices will get infused into it and it will taste better as the tofu will soak the curd mixture well and if you are in lack of time then marinate it for 2 hours at least.
- Heat a pan and add a little oil and spread the marinated items on the tawa and cook from all the sides till it gets nice brown color on a low flame.
- Once it is hot stick the tofu, onion, and capsicum pieces in a toothpick and sprinkle with chaat masala if want.
- Serve it hot with hot with green chutney.
Notes:
- You can add amchoor powder while marinating the tofu.
- Soya sauce gives a nice flavor to this but you can avoid if you want.
- Broccoli can be added while marinating the tofu
- You can add ginger garlic paste while marinating the tofu
- You can add 1 tbsp fresh cream while marinating to get a rich taste.
