Ganesh Chaturthi Special Coconut Sheera/ Halwa Recipe
Do you want to try some innovative and also tasty Sheera/Halwa this Ganesh Chaturthi? Then try this Coconut Sheera recipe which is not only healthy, but also tasty and very easy to prepare. This dish has a wonderful flavor and taste and also has a nice sweet aroma. This dish is more healthy than rava halwa.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cupfreshly grated coconut
- 1 cupcoconut milk
- 1/4 cupghee
- 1/2 cupsemolina (rava)
- 10-12chopped almonds (badam)
- 10-12raisins (kismis)
- 1/2 cupsugar
- 1/2 tspcardamom (elaichi) powder
- 1/4 cupcrumbled mawa (khoya)
Directions
- Heat the ghee in a broad non-stick pan, add the semolina and fry on a medium flame for 7 minutes or till it turns light brown in color.
- Add the coconut, almonds and raisins and fry on a medium flame for 3 minutes.
- Add the sugar, coconut milk and 1 cup of water, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 7 to 8 minutes or till all the water is evaporated and stir continuously.
- Add the cardamom powder and mawa, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes and stir continuously.
- Once done, switch off the flame and serve it hot.
