Easy Curd Sandwich Recipe
Curd Sandwich is an easy to make breakfast recipe. This sandwich is prepared with fresh curd and different veggies. This easy recipe can be packed in school or office lunch box too. Let’s follow this recipe.
Ingredients
For sandwich spread:
- ¾ cupthick curd / hung curd / yogurt
- ¼ cupmayonnaise, egg less( easily available in the market)
- ½ tsppepper powder
- ¼ cupcarrot, finely chopped
- saltto taste
- ¼ cupcabbage, finely chopped
- ¼ cupcapsicum, finely chopped
- ½ tspginger, finely chopped
- ¼ cupcorn
For sandwich:
- 6slices bread, white / whole grain
- 2 tspbutter
- 1 tspsesame seeds, til
Directions
h2>For sandwich spread
- In a bowl add thick curd and best if you use hung curd and also add mayonnaise sauce. (you can skip if you do not have mayonnaise.
- Add crushed /powdered pepper and sprinkle some salt and give a good mix.
- Add few finely chopped vegetables like carrot, cabbage, capsicum and add some corn and ginger.
- Mix it very well and keep it aside.
For sandwich
- Trim the edges of the bread and spread the prepared spread generously over one side of the bread slice.
- Cover and press with another bread slice over it and heat the tawa or use sandwich maker add some butter on it and when the butter begins to melt, sprinkle some sesame seeds over it.
- Place the prepared sandwich and spread over butter and once, one side of bread turn golden brown and turn it and cook the other side.
- Cut the sandwich in half or serve as it is and enjoy the curd sandwich with tomato ketchup.
Notes:
- Firstly hung curd can be prepared by straining homemade curd in a cloth for 3-4 hours and keep it in the fridge.
- Add any vegetables of your choice, you can also add thinly sliced mushrooms, spinach leaves, and tomatoes also.
- To make the sandwich little spicy, add some finely chopped green chili.
- If your kid enjoys cheese, then you can even add a cheese slice.
