Green Salad with Muskmelon Dressing Recipe
This is a basic green salad recipe. Eating salad almost every day may be one of the most healthy eating habits we can adopt. A salad is one of the best ways to protect our health and fitness. Green salads are always healthy. So try this salad recipe in your kitchen.
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cupsiceberg lettuce, torn into small pieces
- 1/2 cupbean sprouts
- 1/2 cupblanched broccoli florets
- 2 tbspfinely chopped celery (ajmoda)
For The Muskmelon Dressing
- 1 cupchopped ripe muskmelon (kharbooja)
- 1/2 tsproasted coarsely crushed cumin seeds (jeera)
- 1/4 cupfinely chopped coriander (dhania)
- saltand freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) to taste
Directions
For the muskmelon dressing
- Blend the muskmelon in a blender to a smooth puree and transfer the puree into a bowl
- Add cumin, coriander, and pepper and mix it well.
- Keep it in the refrigerator.
How to proceed
- In a bowl add iceberg lettuce, bean sprouts, broccoli florets and celery toss it well and keep it in the refrigerator it.
- Just before serving, remove both salad and the dressing from the refrigerator.
- Pour the muskmelon dressing to the salad and toss it well.
- Serve immediately.
