Simple Baby Corn Fried Rice Recipe
Baby Corn Fried Rice can be made quickly with a basic ingredient. This dish serve great as a lunch box, quick meal or when you have less time. It is a super hit recipe and kids love it a lot. Let’s follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 cupBasmati Rice
- 6Baby corn
- 1/2Capsicum
- 1/2Carrot
- 5 podsGarlic
- fewSpring onion (to garnish)
- 1 tspSoya sauce
- 1/4 tspPepper powder
- 2 tbspOil for deep frying
- Saltto taste
- 1/4 tspSugar
- 1Green chili
- 1Onion
- 2 tbspMaida( all purpose flour)
- 2 tbspCorn flour
- 1/4 tspRed chili powder
Directions
- Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes in 1 and 1/4 cup of water and after 15 min cook for 25 min by adding salt and a tsp of oil.
- Separate the grains and spread the rice in a wide plate and keep it aside.
- In a wide bowl put the all-purpose flour, corn flour, red chili powder and salt and add a little water and mix this into a thick batter without any lumps.
- Wash the baby corn and put this in hot water and boil for 5 minutes and take it out and drain the water and slice the baby corn into medium size pieces and wipe the baby corn pieces well using a clean towel.
- Put the slit baby corn in the flour batter and heat the oil for deep-frying and start frying the baby corn in batches and do not overcrowd the pan and keep it aside.
- Finely chop the onions, garlic and green chili and thinly slice the carrots and capsicum.
- In a pan add 2 tbsp of oil and add finely chopped green chili, garlic, and onion and add the sugar and cook on a medium flame till the onion becomes pink.
- Add the fried baby corn and the chopped carrots and capsicum to this.
- Now add the little salt, pepper powder, and soya sauce and mix it well.
- Add the cooked rice to this and gently mix it well and garnish with spring onions.
- Serve this hot rice with manchurian.
Notes:
- You can add finely chopped cabbage to the rice while adding the carrots.
- Do not add more soya sauce.
- Ensure the rice is cooked perfect and do not over cook the rice.
