Creamy Apple Phirni Recipe
Apple Phirni is made with apple and milk and is an indulgent dessert recipe usually prepared on festivals and special occasions. Apple Phirni is also a healthy for your kids. Let’s follow this delicious creamy dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 litermilk
- 1/2 cuplong grained rice (basmati)
- 1 cupsugar
- 3apples
- 1 tspcardamom (elaichi) powder
- 1 tspnutmeg (jaiphal) powder
- 1/2 tspsaffron (kesar) strands
- 10-12chopped almonds (badam)
- 10-12chopped pistachios
Directions
- Clean, wash and soak the rice for 1hour and keep 1 cup of milk aside and boil the remaining milk in a pan
- Drain the rice and blend in a mixer, using the1 cup stored milk and blend into a smooth paste.
- When the milk starts boiling, add the rice-milk paste and stir continuously and mix it well.
- Cook on a slow flame and stir continuously, for at least 10 minutes.
- Add sugar and mix it well till the sugar dissolves completely.
- Add the nutmeg powder, cardamom powder, and saffron, mix it well and remove form the flame to cool.
- Peel and grate 2 apples and add when the mixture has cooled well and add the grated apple to it.
- Garnish with one sliced apple and the chopped nuts.
- Refrigerate and serve it chill.
Apples are rich in important antioxidants, flavanoids, and dietary fiber.
Milk is rich in calcium, vitamin C, and potassium.
