Tasty Pea Paratha Recipe

Ingredients
For the dough
- 3/4 cupwhole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
- 1/4 cupsoya flour
- 1/2 tspsalt
- 1/2 tspghee
For the stuffing
- 1/2 tbspghee
- 1 tspcumin seeds (jeera)
- 1/2 tspfinely chopped green chili
- 1 cupboiled green peas, mashed
- saltto taste
Other ingredients
- whole wheatflour (gehun ka atta) for rolling
- 1 tspoil for cooking
Directions
For the dough
- In a sieve wheat flour and soya flour with the salt and ghee and knead to make a soft dough using enough water.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and keep it aside.
For the stuffing
- Heat ghee in a pan and add the cumin seeds and fry till they crackle.
- Add the green chili and cook for 1 minute and add mashed peas and salt and mix it well.
- Cool completely and divide the stuffing into equal portions and keep it aside.
How to proceed
- Roll out one portion of the dough into a circle of 75 mm. (3") diameter by dusting some flour.
- Place one portion of the stuffing in the center of the circle and bring together all the sides in the center and seal tightly.
- Roll out again into a circle of 150 mm. (6") in diameter by dusting some flour.
- Heat a non-stick pan and brush a little oil and cook the paratha, until both sides are golden brown in color.
- Serve hot it hot with a mixed vegetable pickle.
