Spicy Raw Banana Fry Recipe
Raw Banana Fry is one of the easiest and delicious raw banana recipes. They are a good source of protein and vitamins and are low in sodium and calories. Try this delicious mildly hot and spicy raw banana fry recipe.
Ingredients
- 2 tbspoil for shallow frying
- 2raw bananas(Raw Bananas are easily available in markets, departmental stores, and local shops)
- 1 tbspturmeric (haldi)
- 1 tbspkashmiri red chili powder
- ½ t/scumin seed powder (optional)
- ½ t/sblack pepper powder (optional)
- 1lime juice Or 1 t/s vinegar
- 2 tbsproasted semolina
- rock or blacksalt as per taste
Directions
- Peel off the skin of the raw bananas and dice them into lengthwise shape.
- Pour 1½ cup water in a bowl and let the bananas rest for 5 min in water and this helps in removing the sticky substance from the banana.
- Wash the bananas again in running tap water and add turmeric, red chili, cumin seed powder, black pepper powder, and salt and marinate the bananas for fifteen min.
- Now take a deep pan if for deep frying and shallow pan if for shallow frying.
- Spread roasted semolina over a dish and roll the marinated bananas over them.
- Cover and coat them nicely with semolina and add oil to the pan, once the oil is hot then add the coated bananas.
- Deep fry or shallow fry them till golden brown from both the sides and for diet conscious people you can also shallow fry the bananas and rest them on a tissue paper to remove the excess oil.
Notes
- This is a nutritive recipe with very low sodium and zero cholesterol and a great dish for high blood pressure patients.
