Tasty Papaya Halwa Recipe
Papaya Halwa is one of the easiest sweet delicacies that is traditionally prepared on a special occasion. As this fruit has a natural sweetness so no need to add sugar and thus good for diabetic people. Let’s try this recipe.
Ingredients
- 5 cupsSemi- ripe papaya (grated)
- 10 tablespoonsSugar
- 5Green cardamom
- 1Bay leaf
- 10-12Chopped cashew nuts
- 10-12Raisins
- 1 cupMilk
- 3 tablespoonsGhee
Directions
- Step1Heat a pan with ghee. Now add cashew nuts and fry till they turn slightly golden and transfer it to a plate.
- Step2In a pan add ghee and add the grated papaya and saute them for 4-5 minutes on medium flame.
- Step3After 4 or 5 minutes add milk and add cardamom and bay leaf and sprinkle rice flour and mix it well to prevent lumps.
- Step4Stir and cook on medium flame till the moisture almost dries up.
- Step5When the milk starts to boil and it will curdle and don't worry and keep stirring it.
- Step6Add sugar.Mix well.Cook till the sugar dissolves properly and binds with papaya.
- Step7Add cashew nuts and raisins and mix it well and then switch off the flame and keep it aside to cool for 20 min.
- Step8Garnish with cashew nuts and raisins if desired and serve.
