Tasty Banjara Chicken Kebab Recipe
Nowadays kebab is the most popular dish. Any get-together or party will be incomplete without kebab as a starter. Banjara Chicken Kebab is very easy to make at home and is very tasty too.
Ingredients
- 500 gmboneless chicken breast
- 2 tbspfresh yogurt
- 2 tbspginger-garlic paste
- 8green chilies paste
- 1 tspcumin seeds
- 1/2 tspsesame seeds
- 1/2 tspmustard seeds
- 1/2 tspred chili powder
- 1/4 tspred-orange food color
- 2 tspcoriander powder
- 2 tsptandoori masala powder( easily available in the market)
- 1 tbspcilantro chopped
- 1 tbspmint leaves thinly chopped
- 2 tbspvegetable oil
- 2 tbsplemon juice
- Saltto taste
Directions
- Clean the chicken breast and cut into medium size pieces and in a bowl marinate the chicken pieces with salt, lemon juice, and red chili powder and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
- In a pan dry roast cumin seeds, sesame seeds, and mustard and allow it to cool and then grind to make a smooth flavored powder.
- In a bowl add yogurt, blended powder, chopped mints leaves, cilantro, coriander powder, red-orange color, tandoori masala, powder, salt, oil, and ginger- garlic powder and mix it well add marinated chicken pieces
- Mix the chicken pieces nicely with the curd mixture and cover the bowl and keep in the refrigerator at least for an hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease the skewers with some oil.
- Take out the chicken from the refrigerator and put on room temperature for about 15 minutes.
- After 15 min arranges the chicken pieces onto the skewers and keep the distance between the chicken pieces and divide the chicken into 2-3 skewers.
- Place in the oven and grill for 30 minutes until chicken turns into nice brown in color.
- In between keep checking the softness of chicken with the help of knife or fork.
- Also apply a little amount of oil twice in between and take out the chicken from the skewers and arrange on the serving plate.
- Serve hot with any chutney of your choice.
Tips:
- Cut the big pieces of chicken if you want you can cut it as per your choice.
- This same kebab can be made in the pan, but the crispiness comes in the oven only.
- Sprinkle some fresh cilantro at the time of serving for a good presentation.
