Salty Jeera Biscuits Recipe
Jeera Biscuits are ideal for tea time. These biscuits are a little salty with a tempting flavor of jeera( cumin). These savory biscuits taste so yummy and easy to make at home. Try this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 cupAll Purpose Flour (Maida)
- 1 teaspoonBaking powder
- 1 teaspoonSalt
- 1 tablespoonButter, chilled and cut into small pieces
- 1 teaspoonCumin seeds(jeera), roasted
- 1/4 cupLuke Warm Water
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180 C.
- In a bowl add all purpose flour, salt, and roasted cumin seeds, and butter and mix all together to make crumbles in flour and you can also use a food processor to do this process.
- Once you get the crumb texture, knead it into a medium-soft dough with lukewarm water.
- Cover the dough with a wrap or lid and keep it aside for 15 minutes and divide the mixture into 5 big balls and roll out each of them keeping 4-5 mm thickness.
- Use your favorite cookie cutter and cut them into any shapes and place a parchment paper on baking tray and arrange all the cookies onto it.
- Bake the jeera biscuits in a pre-heated oven at 180 C for around 20 minutes and take them out of the oven and place them on the cooling rack.
- Store the jeera biscuits in an air-tight container and serve it as desired.
