Tasty Green Masala Prawn Pulao Recipe
Green Masala Prawn Pulao is a basic rice dish made often in most Indian homes for their meal. This basic pulao is a one pot meal which will definitely impress your guest and family members. Try and enjoy this protein-rich prawn recipe that will leave you craving for more.
Ingredients
- 2 cupsRice, washed and drained
- 2 cupsPrawns, washed and cleaned
- 1/2 cupof Green Masala
- 1Large Onion, Chopped
- 1Bay leaf
- 4Cardamon pods
- 5Peppercorns
- 5Cloves
- 1-2inches of Cinnamon
Green Masala
- 1small bunch Coriander leaves ( about 1 cup)
- 4cloves Garlic
- 1 inchGinger
- 1/2 tspCumin seeds
- 1 tbspCoriander seeds
- 4green chilies
- 4.5Water
- Saltto taste
Directions
For Green Masala
- Blend coriander leaves, garlic, ginger, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, chilies, salt, and water as needed and blend into a fine paste
How To Proceed
- Heat oil in a vessel and fry the whole spices ( cloves, peppercorns, cinnamon, bay leaf and saute them till they release their flavor.
- Add the onions and fry them till they are translucent.
- Add the washed rice and fry for some time and mix thoroughly.
- Add the blended green masala and stir thoroughly and add the prawns and mix again.
- Add the water and salt and mix it thoroughly once and close the lid.
- When the water starts boiling and cook for 20 minutes on a low flame or till all the water gets evaporated.
- When the rice is cooked, take it off the flame and keep it covered for 5 minutes in a room temperature.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
