Chicken Shawarma Recipe

This Chicken Shawarma recipe is a mouthwatering dish. Just a handful of spices makes an incredible chicken shawarma. Make this and serve with fresh salad. Try this once and you will be addicted to it.
Ingredients
- 8skinless, boneless chicken thighs
For the marinade:
- 1/2 cupmalt vinegar
- 1/4 cupplain yogurt
- 1 Tbspvegetable oil
- Salt & pepperto taste
- 1/4 tspfreshly ground cardamom
- 1 tspall mixed spice( easily available in the market)
For the sauce
- 1/2 cuptahini sauce( easily available in the market)
- 1/4 cupplain yogurt
- 1/2 tspminced garlic
- 2 Tbsplemon juice
- 1 Tbspolive oil
- 1 Tbspchopped fresh parsley
- Salt & Pepperto taste
For plating
- 4medium tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cupsliced onion
- 4 cupsshredded lettuce
- 8pita bread rounds
Directions
- In a glass baking dish, add malt vinegar, 1/4 cup yogurt, vegetable oil, mixed spice, cardamom, salt, and pepper.
- Place the chicken thighs into the mixture and coat them well and cover with the lid and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a small bowl, add tahini, 1/4 cup yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and parsley.
- Season with salt and pepper and adjust flavors the according to your taste and cover with the lid and put in the refrigerate.
- Remove the chicken from the refrigerator and cover the chicken with the lid and bake it for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and cook for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until chicken is browned and cooked through.
- Cut chicken into slices and place sliced chicken, tomato, onion, and lettuce onto pita bread and roll up, and top with tahini- yogurt sauce.
- Serve it with fresh salad.
