Classic Pistachios Ice Cream Recipe
Pistachios Ice Cream is one of the most delicious frozen desserts. This frozen pistachios ice cream has fresh whipped cream combined with pistachios and condensed milk. Keep yourself cool this summer. Try out this classic pistachios ice cream recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 cupHomemade Whipped cream (or use cool whip)
- 1 cupHeavy cream
- 1 cupCondensed milk
- 1-1/4 cupWater
- 1 cupDry Milk powder
- 1/3 cupPistachios
- 1/8 teaspoonKewra essence
- 1/8 teaspoonGreen color (optional)
For Homemade Whipped Cream
- 1 cupHeavy cream or whipping cream
- 2 tablespoonSugar
- Few dropsVanilla essence (optional)
Directions
For Homemade Whipped cream
- Before starting put a bowl in the refrigerator and pour heavy cream or whipping cream to the chilled bowl and mix in sugar.
- Turn the mixer or hand blender to a medium speed and start whipping the cream and within 2- 3 minutes, the cream will start to get frothy and thicken up and keep mixing it.
- To check if the whipped cream has the right consistency - remove the whisk/blender from the mixer/base and turn it upside down and if the whipped cream maintains its soft peak firmly without falling off the blade - it's ready to use and is perfect.
How to Proceed
- In a bowl add water and milk powder and whisk until well blended and set it aside.
- Coarsely grind the pistachios in the blender.
- In a bowl heavy cream and water-milk powder mixture and add condensed milk and add Kewra essence, green color, crushed pistachios and add homemade whipped cream and mix it well
- Pour the mixture into a bowl or deep dish tray and add some more pistachios on top.
- Cover with the lid and place it in the freezer.
- Make sure your ice cream tray/bowl is secured and covered tightly to avoid freezer burns.
- Scoop ice cream into a bowl, garnish it with some crushed pistachios and enjoy.
