Raw Mango Salad is an easy and quick to make a salad and which is the best accompaniment to your meal during summer. Try this salad recipe this hot summer.
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cupspeeled and thinly sliced raw mangoes
- 1-1/2 tbspbrown sugar
- 1 tspfinely chopped fresh red chilies
- 1 tsptamarind (imli) pulp
- 1 tsplemon juice
- 1/2 cupthinly sliced tomatoes
- saltto taste
Directions
For the Mangoes
- Soak the raw mangoes in ice-cold water for at least 30 minutes and drain it and keep it aside.
For the Salad Dressing
- In a bowl add sugar, red chilies, tamarind pulp, and lemon juice and grind in a mortar-pestle and grind till the mixture is coarse and keep this dressing aside.
How to Proceed
- In a bowl add mangoes, brown sugar-chili dressing, sliced tomatoes, and salt, and toss gently.
- Put it in the refrigerator and serve chill and relish it.
Raw Mangoes are a good source of vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, and magnesium.
