Egg In a Hole Recipe
Egg In a Hole is a deliciously runny yolk egg cooked in the center of a piece of a toast and eaten with a fork. It is a great way to enjoy an egg in a slightly different way. Let’s follow this innovative recipe.
Ingredients
- 1a slice of your favorite kind of bread
- 1 tablespoonbutter
- 1egg
- Saltfreshly ground black pepper
Directions
- With the help of the biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass, press a hole in the center of the slice of bread.
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat and melt the butter and when the butter is all spread out, place the piece of bread in the skillet and crack the egg straight into the center of the hole.
- Cook for 30 to 45 sec or until the egg sets a bit on the bottom.
- Season the egg with salt and pepper and after a minute flip it over with a spatula and season salt and pepper on the other side of the toast.
- Move the whole piece of toast around the skillet for soaking up all of the glorious butter.
- Let it cook until the yolk gets slight soft and serve it hot.
Have this egg with a glass of juice.
The egg is a good source of protein, vitamin A, B12, minerals, and phosphorus.
