Healthy and Tasty Sprout Soup Recipe
Sprout Soup is a healthy, tasty, protein based soup made with fresh sprouts. Suitable for all seasons. This soup is a good to have even for breakfast as it is nutrient dense and makes a wonderful food to start your day.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cupmixed sprouts
- 4tomatoes
- 2 tbspchopped onions
- 1/4 cupshredded cabbage
- 1 tspchopped ginger (adrak
- 1 tspchopped garlic (lehsun)
- 2 tspbutter
- 1 tspchili powder
- saltand black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste
- coriander(dhania) leaves for garnish
Directions
- Wash the mixed sprouts and soak it overnight and pressure cook the soaked sprouts and keep it aside.
- Chopped the tomatoes and boil it and pass it through a strainer and extract the puree.
- Put a little butter in a pan and add ginger-garlic paste and add finely chopped onions and cook till onions are translucent.
- Add shredded cabbage and fry for 2 min and do not over-cook it and it should be crispy.
- Add tomato puree to the mixture add salt and chili powder and add cooked sprouts and cook it.
- Pour into the soup bowls and garnish with coriander leaves, season with pepper and top with a small butter cube.
- Serve it hot.
