Homemade Protein Bars Recipe
Homemade Protein Bars are loaded with fiber and protein. It is loaded with flavors and the textures that make this bar a healthy treat for kids. This bar is a healthy snack. Let’s follow this Homemade Protein Bars recipe.
Ingredients
- 3 cupsquick cooking rolled oats
- 1 tspcinnamon (dalchini)
- 1/4 tspcloves (laung/ lavang)
- 3/4 cupchopped dates (khajur)
- 3/4 cupchopped apricots (kummani/jardalu)
- 1 cupapple butter ( easily available in the market)
- 1 tbspsugar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
- In a bowl add oat, cinnamon, and cloves, dates, apricots and apple butter.
- Mix it until all ingredients are well blended and oats are moistened with butter.
- Spread mixture in a non-stick pan and mix it well.
- Sprinkle sugar over surface and bake for 2 min.
- Immediately cut into 2" squares, do not remove from pan and allow to cool down,and serve it.
- Eat the bars within a few hours, or seal them in a heavy zip-style plastic bag and store in the freezer.
- For maximum crispness, "refresh" them in a toaster oven after defrosting and tastes even better on the next day also.
