Tasty Apple Bread Rolls Recipe
Apple Bread Rolls is an indulgent breakfast or snack recipe. These fluffy, soft homemade rolls using a few simple ingredients are simple, satisfying and tasty. These apple bread rolls make a perfect accompaniment with a cup of tea or coffee or as an after school snack for kids.
Ingredients
- 8slices White Bread
- 5 cupsapples finely chopped
- 1/2 cupSugar
- Pinch ofsalt
- 1/2 tspLemon Juice
- 1 tspCinnamon Powder
- 1/4 tspNutmeg Powder
- 4 TbspUnsalted Butter (Melted)
Directions
- In a sauce pan add apples, sugar, salt, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg and cook over medium flame for 6-7 min or till the apples are soft and tender but not mushy and switch off the flame and keep it aside to cool.
- Trim the edges of the bread slices and roll the bread very thin using rolling pin.
- Brush the butter generously both sides of the rolled bread slices and spread about 2 tablespoons of apple filling over the bread slice leaving ¼ inch border all around.
- Roll up the bread with the filling into a cylinder and lightly butter all around and grill on the skillet over medium flame.
- Keep turning them, making sure rolls are evenly browned all around.
- Serve them hot or at room temperature and you can also slice them in two to three pieces.
Notes
- You may adjust the sugar and lemon juice depends on apples tartness or also according to your taste.
- Rolling the bread slices is important, it becomes easy to roll the bread.
