Healthy Mushroom Omelette Recipe
Mushroom Omelette is a wholesome and fulfilling breakfast recipe. Mushrooms are packed with nutrients and eggs together make a perfect protein intake for the breakfast. Let’s follow this healthy recipe.
Ingredients
- 8eggs
- 1 cupbutton mushrooms, sliced
- 1onion, sliced
- 1/2 teaspoonbutter
- 1/2 teaspoonoil
- 1 teaspoongarlic, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoonblack pepper powder
- 1 teaspoondried oregano
- Freshcoriander leaves, finely chopped
- Saltto taste
Directions
- Wash the mushrooms thoroughly in lukewarm water and slice them.
- In a pan melt butter and add chopped garlic and saute on a low flame for a few seconds and then add sliced onion.
- Stir-fry the onion for one minute till it turns little translucent and soft.
- Add sliced mushroom, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon fresh coriander leaves and salt to taste.
- Mix it very well and cover the pan with a lid for 1-2 minutes till mushroom gets cooked.
- Uncover the pan and continue to stir the mushroom till water evaporates and the mixture dries up and when the mushrooms are done and switch off the flame and keep it aside in a bowl.
- In a bowl beat 4 eggs and add 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, some fresh coriander leaves, and salt to taste and beat the mixture very well to blend the flavors.
- Heat a pan and add 1/2 teaspoon and when the oil is hot enough, reduce the flame and spread the egg mixture on it.
- Cover the pan and leave the eggs to cook on a low flame for 2-3 minutes and when the eggs are done, spread half of the prepared mushroom mixture on half side of the omelette and flip it.
Serve Mushroom Omelette with a glass of smoothie for the power packed healthy breakfast.
Tip:
- You can add chopped green chilies or red chili powder to make more spicy.
