Spicy Dalia Pulao Recipe
Spicy Dalia Pulao is a great breakfast recipe with broken wheat cooked along with vegetables and different seasonings. A fiber rich and energy giving Vegetable Dalia is quite simple to prepare and also delicious. Let’s follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cupBroken wheat (Dalia)
- wateras required
- 3Onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoonGreen peas, steamed
- 1Carrot, finely chopped
- 1Green Bell Pepper (Capsicum), finely chopped
- 2Green Chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoonCumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoonCoriander Powder
- Saltto taste
- 3 tablespoonButter
- 1/2 teaspoonGaram masala powder
- 2 tablespoonSweet corn
- 1 teaspoonRed chili powder
- 2Tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoonGinger garlic paste
- Corianderleaves(Dhania), finely chopped for garnish
Directions
- In a pan dry roast Dalia or broken wheat till it gets a nice aroma and cook the Dalia, potato, and carrot by adding 4.5 cups of water and wait until Dalia and vegetables are boiled and keep it aside once it is done.
- In a nonstick pan and add butter and let it melt, add cumin seeds, chopped onion and saute it till it is translucent.
- Add ginger paste and chopped tomatoes, saute it for two minutes.
- Add all the chopped vegetables, boiled peas, and sweet corn and fry for 3 – 4 minutes. Add salt, turmeric, red chili powder, and garam masala, and mix it well.
- Add cooked broken wheat or Dalia and mix it well and cook it for 2 – 3 minutes and stir continuously.
- Switch off the flame and transfer it to a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
- You can serve Spicy Dalia Pulao with lime slice and raita.
