Crunchy Black Raisin Cookies Recipe
Nothing can beat the rich mouth-feel and chewy delight fullness of black raisin. This raisin cookie is nutritious and delicious. These cookies are sure to be a family favorite and a perfect for any occasion. Let’s follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cupchopped black raisins (kismis)
- 1/4 cupbutter
- 1/4 cuppowdered sugar
- 1/2 cupplain flour (maida)
- 1/4 tspvanilla essence
- a pinchof salt
- 2 tspmilk
- 5-10almond (badam) slivers
Directions
- In a bowl add butter and sugar and mix it gently using a spatula.
- Add plain flour, vanilla essence, chopped black raisins and salt, mix it well and knead into a soft dough using milk.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each portion of the dough into a 50 mm. (2”) diameter round flat cookie.
- Arrange all the cookies on a baking tray and top each cookie with a few almond slivers and press it gently.
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 15 minutes and keep it aside to cool completely.
- Serve or store in an air-tight container.
Raisins are a good source of B vitamins, iron, and potassium.
