Easy Vermicelli Pulao Recipe
The exciting noodle- like an appearance of vermicelli is a hot favorite of kid’s. This pulao contain lots of veggies which very good for health. It is easy and quick to make on a busy morning and stay fresh in the tiffin box. Let’s follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 cupsemolina vermicelli
- 1 tspoil
- 1 1/2 tspghee
- 1/2 tspcumin seeds (jeera)
- 1clove (laung /lavang)
- 1small stick cinnamon (dalchini)
- 1cardamom (elaichi)
- 1/4 cupgreen peas
- 1/4 cupgrated carrot
- 1/2 tspchili powder
- 1/4 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
- 1/2 tspgaram masala
- To tasteSalt
- 1 tsplemon juice
Directions
- Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai, add vermicelli and saute on a medium flame for 5 minutes or fry till brown in color and remove and keep it aside.
- Heat ghee in a non-stick kadhai, add cumin seeds, clove, cinnamon, and cardamom, and saute on a medium flame for a few seconds.
- Add green peas and carrot and saute on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Add chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt and saute on a medium flame for 30 seconds.
- Add 1 cup of water, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 3 minutes, stir occasionally.
- Add vermicelli and mix it well and cover it with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 5 to 6 minutes and stir occasionally.
- Add lemon juice and mix it well and discard the cinnamon, clove, and cardamom.
- Serve it hot.
