Boil 2 cups of water in a pan, add the tomatoes and cook for 3-4 minutes and do not strain. Add curry leaves and chili powder and blend in a mixer to a smooth puree and transfer to a deep pan and boil it Add besan mixture, salt, sugar, and lemon juice and mix it well and cook for 3-4 minutes on low flame and keep it aside. For the tempering Heat ghee in a small pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and when they crackle, add the tempering to the shorba and mix it well. Garnish with coriander and serve it hot. Tomato Dhaniya Shorba Recipe

Tomato Dhaniya( coriander) Shorba is a popular authentic Indian soup. This shorba reveals in the tangy flavors of its main ingredient tomato and the soothing flavor of coriander.  

Ingredients

  • 6 cupsroughly chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tspbesan (bengal gram flour)
  • 3 to 4curry leaves (kadi patta)
  • 1 tbspchili powder
  • To tasteSalt
  • 2 tspSugar
  • 2 tsplemon juice
  • 1 tbspGhee
  • 1 tspmustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
  • 1 tspcumin seeds (jeera)

For The Garnish

  • 1 tbspchopped coriander (dhaniya)

Directions
