Tasty Roasted Chickpeas Recipe
Roasted Chickpeas is a great munching snack for both kids and adults. This simple recipe is also a great alternative to the deep fried version. Chickpeas are the healthy and protein rich snack. Enjoy the roasted chickpeas as a snack.
Ingredients
- 2 can( 1 and 1/4 cup)Chickpeas
- 1 tspRed Chili Powder
- 1/4 tspCumin Powder/Jeera Powder
- 1/2 tspTandoori Masala
- a pinchGaram Masala
- to tasteSalt
- 2-3 dropsOil
Directions
- Step1Drain the water from the chickpeas and wash it thoroughly and pat dry the chickpeas to remove the excess moisture.
- Step2Just add 1-2 drops of oil to grease the baking tray and add the chickpeas in the baking tray and add salt,( as canned one may contain little salt so put according to it), red chili powder, tandoori masala, garam masala, and jeera powder.
- Step3Mix it nicely and preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Step4Bake it for 35 to 40 minutes or till it gets nicely roasted and do not forget to saute this in between and you can do this every 10 minutes.
- Step5Once done, take out and allow this to cool.
- Step6Store it in an airtight container and enjoy this snack with tea or coffee.
Notes:
- Step1You can add chaat masala and some herbs like thyme, rosemary too to get more flavor.
- Step2Even red chili flakes or oregano can be added and even kasoori methi can also be added.
- Step3Baking time differs from oven to oven.
