Crispy Baked Puri Recipe
This Baked Puri is a healthy and wholesome snack that is not deep fried. These puris are baked in the oven. It is also healthy as mixed flour is used to make this puri. This crispy baked puri can be served with a cup of tea. Let’s follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cupragi (nachni / red millet) flour
- 1/4 cupjowar (white millet) flour
- 1/4 cupsoya flour
- 2 tbspfinely chopped fenugreek (methi) leaves
- 2 tspsesame seeds (til)
- 1/4 tspchili powder
- 1/4 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
- 2 tspgrated jaggery (gur), dissolved in 1 tbsp water
- 1/2 tspoil
- saltto taste
- 1/2 tspoil for greasing
Directions
- In a bowl add ragi flour, jowar flour, soya flour, chopped fenugreek, sesame seeds, chili powder, grated jaggery, chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
- knead into soft dough using enough water and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
- Knead again using ½ tsp of oil till smooth and divide the dough into equal portions.
- Roll out each portion into thin puris and prick each puri with a fork.
- Arrange the puris on a greased baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°c (400°f) for 10 minutes.
- Cool and store in an air-tight container.
Tips
- 1 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves can be replaced with 2 tbsp of fresh fenugreek leaves.
