Soft and Spongy Bread Rasmalai Recipe
This is an instant version of traditional Rasmalai recipe which is prepared from bread slice. This is an ideal Indian dessert recipe which can be easily served to surprise guests and perhaps even kids would love it. Let follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 4 cupsfull cream cow/buffalo milk
- 1 cupcondensed milk/ milkmaid
- 2 tbspsaffron milk
- ½ tspcardamom powder
- 20-25chopped dry fruits (pistachios, almonds, cashews)
- 5slices bread, preferably white sandwich bread
Directions
- In a large nonstick pan heat full cream milk and stir occasionally, make sure that the milk doesn't stick to the bottom of the vessel.
- Add 1 cup of condensed milk and stir it well and let the milk boil.
- Cook it on a low flame and once a layer of cream is formed over the milk, stick it to sides of the vessel and make sure to stir from the bottom of the vessel so that milk doesn't burn.
- Repeat the gathering of cream to sides of kadhai for atleast 3 -5 times or till milk reduces to one-third and add cardamom powder and saffron milk
- Give a good mix and also scrape off the collected cream from sides and give a good stir and cook on a low flame for 2 min.
- Allow it cool to room temperature and further chill for 2 hours.
- Cut the bread into round pieces with the help of cookie cutter or glass and dip both sides of the bread it on prepared milk mixture and arrange it on a plate and make sure to pour 2-3 tbsp of milk mixture in the plate.
- Garnish with chopped dry fruits and serve bread Rasmalai chilled or hot.
