Spring Onion Stuffed Paratha Recipe
Spring Onion Stuffed Paratha make a great breakfast dish. This paratha can be made quickly and can be packed in your kid’s lunch box. It is a wholesome meal.
Ingredients
For making dough
- 3/4 cupplain flour (maida)
- 5 tbspwhole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
- 2 tspoil
- saltto taste
For The Stuffing
- 1-1/2 cupschopped spring onions whites and greens
- 1 tbspoil
- 1 tspfinely chopped green chilies
- saltto taste
Other Ingredients
- whole wheatflour (gehun ka atta) for rolling
- oilfor cooking
Directions
For the dough
- In a deep bowl add flour, wheat flour, salt, and oil and knead into a soft dough by using enough water and keep it aside.
For the stuffing
- Heat oil in a broad non-stick pan, add green chilies and spring onions and saute on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add the salt and mix well and keep it aside.
How to proceed
- Divide the stuffing into equal portions and keep it aside.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a 150 mm. (6”) diameter circle using a little whole wheat flour.
- Spread a portion of the stuffing on one round andput another round on top.
- Heat a non-stick tawa (griddle), place the paratha on it and cook on a medium flame and brush with little oil and cook till both sides turn brown in color.
- Cut into pieces and serve it hot.
