Easy Chili Paneer Sandwich Recipe
Chili Paneer Sandwich is a very simple paneer sandwich recipe made with paneer stuffing. Paneer is a good source of protein and calcium. This sandwich is great for kids. Let’s follow this easy recipe.
Ingredients
- 8sliced bread
- 2cheese cubes
- 400 gmpaneer (cottage cheese) cubes
- 1/4 cupgreen capsicum cubes
- 1/4 cupyellow capsicum cubes
- 1/4 cupred capsicum cubes
- 2 tbspghee
- 1chopped onion
- 2 tspgarlic (lehsun) paste
- 1 tspginger (adrak) paste
- 1 cuptomato puree
- 1/2 tspfreshly ground black pepper powder
- 1 tspchili powder
- 1/2 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
- saltto taste
- 3/4 tspcumin seeds (jeera) powder
- 1/2 tspcardamom (elaichi) powder
- a pinch ofcinnamon (dalchini) powder
- a pinch ofcloves (laung / lavang) powder
- 2 tbspchopped coriander (dhania)
Directions
- Heat ghee in a kadhai, add onions and saute till they turn translucent.
- Add ginger and garlic paste, mix it well and saute till the mixture becomes dry.
- Add pepper powder, chili powder and turmeric powder, mix it well and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add tomato puree and salt, mix it well and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add paneer and saute for a minute and add capsicum, mix it well and add cumin seeds powder, cardamom powder, cinnamon powder and clove powder, mix it well and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add grated cheese to the paneer mixture and stir it carefully and remove from flame and keep it aside to cool.
- Take a slice of bread put the prepared chili paneer evenly between the slice and place another slice of bread on top.
- Put in grill toaster and grill till the sandwich is golden brown in color.
- Serve hot with green chutney.
