How To Make Mutton Stew Recipe
This mutton stew is sure to keep you warm in winter. Earthy flavor of this mutton stew make it a household favorite. This stew contains lots and lots of veggies so it is healthy. Serve this stew with some fresh bread. Let’s follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 500 gmmuttoncut into cubes
- 1 cuponionscut coarsely
- 2 Tbspbutter
- 1/4 cupflour
- 2 tspsalt
- 1/4 tsppowdered black pepper
- 4 cupswater
- 1/4 cupcarrots thickly sliced
- 3/4 cuppotatoesdiced
- 1/4 cupfrench beans-cut into 2-3 pieces each
- 1/8 tspgrated nutmeg
Directions
- Heat butter in a heavy-bottomed saucepan and add onions and stir-fry over medium flame, till the onions turns transparent.
- Add meat and stir-fry for about 1 minute on a high flame.
- Add flour and keep stirring till all the pieces are coated with flour andadd water and boil on a low flameuntil the meat is half cooked.
- Add the beans, potatoes, carrots, salt, pepper and nutmeg and Continue to cook on a low flame till the meat is tender and take care that the vegetable should not boiled too much, it should have it crunch.
- Serve it hot with side of bread.
