Tasty Shahi Aloo Recipe

A blend of spices, flavors and tasty, Shahi Aloo is a tempting vegetable recipe. It is easy to make recipe forlunch or dinner. Generally severed with roti or puri. Try this easy dinner recipe.
Ingredients
- 14 to 16boiled and peeled baby potatoes
- 3 tbspoil
- 1 cupfinely chopped tomatoes
- 3 tbspcurd (dahi)
- 1 tspchili powder
- 6cashew nuts (kaju)
- 5-10raisins (kismis)
- 2 tbspfinely chopped coriander (dhania)
- 1/2 tspsugar
- saltto taste
To Be Ground Into A Smooth Paste (using A Little Water)
- 25 mm (1”)piece cinnamon (dalchini)
- 2cardamoms
- 3cloves (laung / lavang)
- 6black peppercorns (kalimirch)
- 1 tspcoriander (dhania) seeds
- 1/2 tspcumin seeds (jeera)
- 1 tsppoppy seeds (khus-khus)
- 12 mm ( 1/2")piece ginger (adrak)
- 3garlic (lehsun) cloves
- 1/2 tspchili powder
For The Garnish
- 2 tbspfinely chopped coriander (dhania)
Directions
- Heat the oil in a kadhai, add the prepared paste and saute on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes and stiroccasionally and mashthe tomatoes with the back of a spoon.
- Add curdand chili powder, mix it well and cook on a slow flame for 1 minute and stir continuously.
- Add cashewnuts, raisins, coriander, sugar, salt and ¼ cup of water, mix well cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes and stir continuously.
- Add potatoes, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes and stiroccasionally.
- Serve it hot.
