Ingredients
- 1 cupwhole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
- 1/4 cupsoya flour
- 1/4 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
- 1-1/2 tspchili powder
- a pinchof asafoetida (hing
- 1/2 tspcumin seeds (jeera)
- 1 tspsoya oil
- 2 tbspfinely chopped coriander (dhania)
- Saltto taste
- 1/8 tspsoya oil for kneading
- whole wheatflour (gehun ka atta) for rolling
- 2-1/2 tspsoya oil for cooking
Directions
- Ina bowl add whole wheat flour, soya flour, turmeric powder, chili powder, asafoetida, cumin seeds, chopped coriander, and salt.
- Knead into a soft dough using enough water and cover and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
- Knead again using soya oil till it is smooth and divide the dough into equal portions.
- Roll out one portion of the dough into 150 mm. (6") diameter thin circle by using a little whole wheat flour.
- Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook the roti, using ¼ tsp of oil cook till it turns golden brown in color from both the sides.
- Serve it hot.
