Chicken Stuffed Buns Recipe
Chicken Stuffed Buns is an ideal bun recipe. These stuffed buns have a light and airy texture and are perfect homemade snacks for kids. These buns are great for breakfast or for brunch. The chicken filling inside the buns is absolutely versatile.
Ingredients
- 1 tbspDry yeast
- ½ cupMilk
- 2 ½ cupsAll purpose flour
- 2tbspSugar
- 1 (beaten)Egg
- 1 tspWhite sesame seeds
- 2 tbspWarm water
- ½ cupEgg white
- Saltas per taste
- ½ cupVegetable oil
Chicken stuffing
- 1-½ cupsShredded chicken
- 2Onions (finely chopped)
- 3-4Green chilies (finely chopped)
- 1 tspGinger-garlic paste
- 1 tspCoriander powder
- 1 tspRed chili powder
- 1 tsp (roasted and powdered)Cumin seeds
- ½ tspGaram masala
- ½ tspChaat masala
- Saltas per taste
Directions
- Ina bowl dissolves the yeast in warm water and add ½ tbsp sugar and flour and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
- In a pan, boil the milk until it is warm and switch off the flame and add sugar, salt, and 1tsp oil and stir well so that the sugar dissolves.
- Slowly add flour to make a smooth dough and add the beaten egg, dissolved yeast and knead well until the dough is smooth and keep it aside for 2 hours.
- Heat 2tbsp oil in a frying pan and saute the onions till they turn translucent.
- Add ginger garlic paste, salt, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala, chaat masala and cumin seeds powder and mix it well.
- Add shredded chicken and mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 3-4 minutes and keep it aside.
- Now knead the dough for a few seconds after storing it for 2 hours and divide the dough into equal portions.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C.
- Flatten the dough and add the chicken stuffing and roll it into a ball again and sprinkle sesame seeds and keep them aside for 15-20 minutes.
- Bake the stuffed chicken buns in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes and keep checking at intervals to allow even baking.
- Once the bun starts turning brown, grease with the egg white and once baked, take the buns out.
- Serve these buns hot.
