Green Chicken Kebab Recipe
Kebabs are always and will always be favorite of all. These Green Chicken Kebabs are flavorful, moist, tasty, and gives a blast of flavors in every bite. This kebab is crispy outside and soft inside. Try this tasty appetizer recipe at your home for any special occasion.
Ingredients
- 400 gmboneless chicken breast
- 3 tablespoonthick curd
- 2 teaspoonlemon juice
- 1 cupcoriander leaves
- 1 cupmint leaves
- 1/2 cupmethi leaves (fenugreek) chopped
- 1/2 cupspinach leaves, chopped
- 1-1/2 inchginger piece
- 6-8cloves garlic
- 4-5green chilies thinly chopped
- 1/2 teaspoonred chili powder
- 2 teaspooncoriander powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoongaram masala powder
- 1 teaspoonbutter
- 2 tablespooncooking oil
- Saltto taste
- Bamboostick/sathe sticks to grill
Directions
- Wash the chicken breast and cut into medium size chunks and apply salt, butter, lemon juice and red chili powder on the chicken pieces and marinate it for 10-15 minutes.
- Chop the methi leaves and blanch in the hot water and drain the water from it and keep it aside.
- In a blender add methi, spinach, coriander-mint leaves, ginger, garlic and green chilies and blend into a smooth paste.
- In a bowl add curd, garam masala, coriander powder, salt, and blended paste of leaves and add the chicken pieces and mix very well.
- Cover the marinated chicken with a lid and keep it aside at least for 20 minutes, so that chicken gets the aroma and flavors of green paste and spices.
- Soak the wooden skewers in normal water for about 4-5 minutes and brush some oil on the skewers and after 20 min arrange the pieces of chicken onto the skewers. Brush some more oil on top of the chicken pieces and preheat the oven at 350F for 5 minutes and place the skewers in the oven.
- Grill IT for about 15-18 minutes and keep checking and turn the skewer sticks to cook evenly from all the sides and grill till the kebab are cooked properly.
- Remove the kebab from the skewers and arrange on the serving plate.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges and any chutney of your choice.
Tips:
- You can make this delicious kebab in the pan also.
- You can use some vegetables such as diced onion, tomatoes, red bell pepper and yellow bell pepper, and then you need to marinate alone with chicken.
