Hariyali Mutton Curry Recipe
Hariyali Mutton Curry is a traditional Mughlai recipe, which is famous for its green and creamy texture. This mutton recipe is a rich and creamy delight which is sure to delight your taste-buds. This dish is perfect for any special occasion and can be relish with any Indian meal.
Ingredients
- 500 gramsMutton
- 2Onions, pureed
- 2Tomatoes, pureed
- Saltto taste
- 1 teaspoonCooking oil
- 2 tablespoonFresh cream
For green masala
- 2 cupsCoriander leaves (Dhania)
- 2 tablespoonMint Leaves (Pudina)
- 8Green Chilies, adjustable
- 2Cloves
- 2 inchCinnamon Stick
- 2Cardamom (Pods /Seeds)
- 1/2Star anise
- 2 tablespoonGinger, chopped
- 2 tablespoonGarlic, chopped
Directions
- In a pressure cooker add mutton pieces, 1/2 cup of water, and 1 teaspoon of salt and pressure cook 35 min and switch off the flame and keep it aside.
- In a blender add coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chili, cloves. Cinnamon, cardamom, star anise, and garlic, and a little water and blend to a smooth paste and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add onion paste and fry until the raw smell of the onions goes away and add tomato puree and cook until oil separates from the sides of the pan.
- Add the blended green masala paste and cook for 5 minutes and add the cooked mutton pieces and mix it well.
- Add salt and a little water if required and cover with a lid and cook on a low flame for 10 to 15 minutes and add the cream and switch off the flame and serve it hot with paratha and enjoy a hearty meal.
